PADI OPEN WATER DIVER
CLASS LOGISTICS
The first step in our program is to find the perfect match of mask, fins, snorkel, booties, and gloves for your lesson (gear requirements for class). We will take the time to schedule a fitting with you at your convenience. This ensures that you have a dedicated professional to answer any questions and advise you on the best gear for your diving future.

Our Open Water Diver course runs 3 days in total; over 2 consecutive weekends. You will begin by signing up for the PADI eLearning, which takes care of all the necessary book work for the class. This cost is paid directly to PADI and is good for 1-year of online login. On your first day with us, you will be doing lab work here at the shop before heading to the pool the same day. You can find pool dates on our online booking page- the dates shown are for your pool session only. You will spend one day in our swimming pool, with PADI professionals, learning the basic skills and safety procedures before heading to the open water to complete your course. Your open water sessions will be the following weekend after your pool date unless other arrangements are made for a later date.

We use many local sites for our checkout dives (4 dives total). We will spend two days at the location ensuring that you are comfortable before sending you on one of our great trips with your certification. Students will need to provide their own transportation between sites and to-and-from the pool.
